MY PROFESSIONAL INSIGHTS

The journey behind reaching the unreached

"What do you do?"

This is the question that has ultimately led me to the realisation:

I am in the profession of facilitating realizations
within myself, in my team members. and in my clients
so that they can unleash their potential.

MY APPROACH

In 1997, as I entered the 7th year of my practice, I shifted to Bangalore. Here, I began to see the importance of working with systems and processes and not just individuals.

The student belonged to the school, family and was impacted by how the system treated them.

Hence, I started working with the system–school, community and board rooms.

Diversified Roles,
Unique Experiences

I always focused on opportunities that would make my family and my teachers proud. Hence, ventured into areas or sectors that life threw at me. I have dabbled across fields of work – from working as a therapist to a consultant to curriculum developer to entrepreneur and author.

MY ABODE

My home in Jodhpur and later in Bangalore have been the abode from where these ideas have been conceived. They have been spaces for me to consult, research and grow as a professional. With every passing year their safe spaces made me what I was meant to be

Theories that shaped me

Theories play a very important role in shaping the way you see, conduct, and practise your professional commitments. Sigmund Freud, Ebbinghaus, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Carl Jung Kurt Lewin, Pavlov, Thorndike, Albert Ellis, Bandura to name a few, have all over the years shaped my work. Each theory has shown a new perspective of dealing with newly emerging challenges.

Supportive Organisation

Every idea, every task needs a territory– a space for it to be implemented, tested, experimented and honed. Many organizations in Bangalore, Jodhpur have provided me the requisite space.

Navjyothi Manovikas Kendra,  Nidan Poly Clinic,  Prism Books Pvt Limited,  NCERT,  DSERT,  UNFPA,  The Hindu, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement,  Schools across India,  Aikya,  Parentof office all have been instrumental in nurturing  my ideas and philosophy.

Inner Change Conference & Group Relation Conference

Inner Change Conference & Group Relation Conference widened my competence in understanding, dealing and working the unconscious and collective unconscious. Through the new lenses I could get an empathetic deeper understanding of the challenges of the mind.

The Educational Institutions

My Educational Institutions that shaped me as a person and developed me as a professional. With gratitude I bow to all the teachers of St Patricks Vidya Bhavan, Jodhpur, Jodhpur University, NIMHANS Bengaluru.

Books, Movies, Friends

They have all been my lifeline since childhood till date. Add gossip to it and BOOM!  They are everything I turn to free my mind and tickle my imagination. They together have taught me to be myself, love myself unconditionally and learn to take the problems of life head on.

I bow to the legacy of my ancestors

My heritage is very deep rooted in the patriarchal system of India, but I grew up in the liberating mindsets of my parents & grandparents. This has inculcated in me the deep rooted values of humanity, service and love for fellow human beings.

I have been encouraged to explore the different facets of life and culture. This has led me realise my own identity and shape it. My parents, with their different personalities, have left an indelible print on my mind about family values – what it means to be accepting and supporting through thick & thin.
